Research meeting on Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) at the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab....
Welcome!
Currently I am a CAM Assistant Adjunct Professor in Applied Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics at UCLA. I am working together with Prof. Andrea Bertozzi and Prof. Stanley Osher on several projects in inverse problems, 4D imaging/image processing, optimal transport and optimal control.
In 2010 I received my PhD in Germany in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Münster under the supervision of Prof. Martin Burger. Current research applications range from dynamic biomedical imaging (e.g. live fluorescence microscopy and tomography) to crime modeling and realtime atomic force microscopy. When I'm not working on applied mathematics you might find me on the tennis court or enjoying time with my wife, Steffi and our friends.
